Man, Ive tried everything. The bluegill and wild shiners just obliterate anything soft within minutes lol. So far Ive tried breadballs, oatmeal balls, cherry tomatoes, corn, catfish stinkbait dough (crawfish flavor), potato wedges, etc. Thats why I want the Koi and Plecostomus so bad. The bluegill, shiners, Tilapia and Bass are kinda getting too easy. Ive landed and released like 8 bass over 7lbs and like 3or4 that were like 9 to 10lbs. Ive been meaning to post a report but Im out there every morn, you guys likely get tired of hearing about it pretty quickly LOL 
Besides Im in search of my Hammer 
I'd rather be catchin' bass all day than sit on a pier hoping one fish will fly by that almost never does in the wrong time of the year.

For those of you that think triploid carp don't get over 20lbs lol 69.7 pounds.
ive seen one like that in a lake around my house..ima try to catch that sucker....so all i have to use for bait is bread?

If bread don't work try fruit or corn... ore a plain hook and some skills...

when i lived in ohio i caught more carp then i care to. caught most on bottom rig with worms. caught them fishn for walleye catfish and bass. ive caught them on jigs yes thats right on jigs. i know in nc i used bowfish and caught blacktips and spinner shark im sure a bull shark would eat them. used to catch bowfish like bluegills and figured i would take some to beach and give them a try.
Try strawberry jello and wheaties. I know it sounds crazy but it works. mix the jello like you are going to eat it then add the wheaties then put in the frig let jellio stand up. make into little balls. Don't make to big. I have caught more carp in the states and in germany, that way then any other.

Who ever said that? Hell, the state record here in NC is over 80 and the world record white amur (grass carp) is 120+
That being said, if you want to catch one...BREAD, BREAD, BREAD!
